In Seattle it seems that everywhere I go people can't stop talking about real estate.  What's my house value?  When will home values stabilize?  I bet it's tough being in real estate these days… and on the comments and questions go.

I did a bit of Googlesearch(kinda like research.) http://News.google.com shows 86,951 news articles about real estate and only 7,543 hits for "world hunger" news.  Of course you can get Googlesearch to say about anything, but the truth here is that we have become enamored no obsessed, with real estate and real estate related news.

The latest headline in the Seattle PI "Is a housing rebound coming in '09? Maybe."  is a good example.  Not to say that this isn't a good read.  It is and I do recommend reading the whole article.  I like the fact that Aubrey gets a few different points of view.  However my point is this.  Why does it matter?  Not that it doesn't matter it's just that perhaps over analysis leads to paralysis.  I can predict that, some will buy homes and some will sell.  All for their own reasons.  If the time is right for you I recommend interviewing several agents in your area.  Get to know them and find a good fit.  Find out what is going on in your neighborhood and if the time is right buy that home.

Don't obsess about the market.  Find a home you can live in.  Find your dream home, or investment property. Plan appropriately and move forward.
